Fire up the light-sabers, simply because “Star Wars 3D” is going to be happening. Digital 3-d formatting is going to get applied to every “Star Wars” film within the series. The first film should be released in theaters in the year 2012. The story determines the order. The first released could be “Episode 1,” and also the original trilogy could be released after the prequel trilogy.
’Star Wars’ 3-D is nearly here
Right now, Hollywood is on a kick. This kick includes all the three dimensional illusion films being made. ”Avatar” and “Clash of the Titans” are just two of the biggest hits to have come out in both two dimensional and three dimensional versions in the last few years. George Lucas and Industrial Light and Magic are now working together with technology on “Star Wars”. The plan is for making it 3-D. The job won’t be rushed. The Telegraph reports Lucas film saying this. The series can be much better in three dimensional versions after every single detail has been made 3-dimensional.
First one coming in 2012
”Episode 1: The Phantom Menace” will be the very first “Star Wars 3-D” movie to be released. The series will be launched in the chronological order of the story. A launch date is the big question. There is no exact date at present. The goal is to have it released in 2012. George Lucas is not quite sure about all this 3-dimensional engineering nevertheless. This is what The Hollywood Reporter says. The movie “Avatar” is what changed him. That’s when his mind entirely changed. The length between releases has not been determined. Nobody has said anything about it.
Got to get all theaters to take in the engineering
There aren’t too many theaters that have 3-D capabilities right now. Every year increasingly more get 3-d functions. In fact, there are about 500 each year changing. Movie theaters are beginning to realize the importance of 3-dimensional capabilities. More films appear to be coming out in 3-D. It is not known whether “Indiana Jones” or the “Clone Wars” DVD series will get 3-dimensional updates for theatrical release.
